Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated citizens of the country on the momentous feat of 75 per cent of India’s adults getting vaccinated against Covid-19. PM Modi tagged a tweet by the Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and said, “75% of all adults are fully vaccinated. Congratulations to our fellow citizens for this momentous feat. Proud of all those who are making our vaccination drive a success”.
Over 2 crore adolescents in the 15-18 age group have received both doses of COVID-19 vaccine, the data stated.
Eralier, the health minister had tweeted, “With the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Prayas’, India has vaccinated 75 per cent of its adult population with both doses of the vaccine. We are getting stronger in the fight against the coronavirus”, encouraging people to follow Covid-19 norms and get vaccinated.
The country reported 2.09 lakh new Covid cases and 959 deaths in the last 24 hours with the cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage exceeding 166.03 crore, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. More than 28 lakh vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

Eighty per cent of India’s adult population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Saturday. The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed 175 crore, according to official data.
India has crossed the historic milestone of administering both doses of coronavirus vaccine to 80 per cent of its adult population, Mandaviya said in a tweet. “With the mantra of ‘sabka prayas’ under the leadership of PM @NarendraModi ji, the country is moving at a fast pace towards 100 per cent immunisation,” he said.
According to official data, around 96.5 per cent of the country’s adult population has been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Over 2 crore adolescents in the 15-18 age group have received both doses of COVID-19 vaccine, the data stated.
